Has Zelensky become a sex symbol, or do the ladies see a little boy lost? It was put to me earlier that there are an awful lot of women who feel remarkably passionate about him and men just go along with it for the peace and quiet.

Could be something in it I guess, I've seen that passion in action.

Deluded beyond measure. This is the most incredible overreach by what is meant to be just a trading bloc, it needs to be shut down pronto.

French rivalry with the Russian Federation in Africa is a major driving force behind a lot of this messing. It is depressing that a lot of people here seem to believe that it is some type of heroic idealism that is driving Brussel's attitude to issues around the Ukraine.

That is why I think that it is prudent for a tiny place like Ireland to remain outside of big things like the EU and NATO. You can easily find yourself getting mixed up in things where you are completely out of your depth.

Very true, which is why the Irish politicians love the EU so much, they can just submerge themselves in its bosom and say hey, our hands are tied by Europe, we are so small that there is nothing we can do. Saves them having to do any thinking on their own account.

From many sourses, Kursk is now to see something between 4 and 10000 Ukes surrounded in Kursk tomorrow and it is surrender or die.

That explains better, Trump demanding that Zellenshy surrender. The reality is the west has been defeated and this kursk collapse has been obvious for at least a month or more .

RTE is spinning that the ukrs hold 400 square kilometers. To donkeys that sounds a lot. It is a 20 km square. Or 13 miles square. It is less than half the area of Louth, I looked it up.

Thete is now a mad scramble to get the ukraine and the US to agree to a peace deal, and it will be presented to Putin. The entire WH row was a staged drama to save face.

Trump now is threatening Putin to take the deal. Putin will likely tell him to screw and then it is time to see who blinks

Last stings of the dying Ukrainian wasp.

The Uki's surrounded in Kursk are going to be slaughtered now. What a waste.

Russian air defenses have intercepted 337 Ukrainian drones overnight, the Defense Ministry in Moscow said on Tuesday morning. One civilian is reported to have been killed by the attack.
The drone wave launched from Ukrainian territory was primarily aimed at Moscow, information provided by the military suggests. The largest number of interceptions occurred in the heavily fortified border Kursk Region, where 126 drones were destroyed. An additional 91 UAVs were taken down in Moscow Region, the administrative area surrounding the capital.
Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin provided multiple updates throughout the night, with his latest message stating that 74 drones had been downed on their approach to the city, in what he called the largest such Ukrainian attack to date.
Moscow Region Governor Andrey Vorobyov reported casualties across three municipalities, including a fatality in Domodedovo. A 38-year-old night guard was killed and two other workers injured when a drone crashed into the parking lot of a food plant, damaging approximately 20 vehicles. In total, 14 people were injured in the region, including a four-year-old child, according to the governor.

Moscow targeted by dozens of Ukrainian drones – mayor

The raid was one of the largest conducted by Ukraine to date, although its scale is not without precedent. Kiev claims that low-cost long-range kamikaze drones are effective at striking deep within Russian territory. Moscow has accused the Ukrainian government of resorting to terrorist tactics due to setbacks on the battlefield. The Russian Investigative Committee is treating the latest attack as terrorism, it said on Tuesday.
Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky recently proposed a limited air truce, suggesting a halt to long-range drone attacks in exchange for Russia ceasing its strike on Ukrainian energy infrastructure – operations that Moscow argues are crippling Kiev’s arms production and military logistics. Russia insists on a comprehensive truce, arguing that Ukraine would use any pause to regroup its forces and continue hostilities.
Zelensky is facing pressure from US President Donald Trump, who is seeking a swift resolution to the Ukraine conflict and has criticized Kiev for undermining his efforts.

This should get you thinking.
And as Vance said the real enemy of Europe is within.
He could be very correct.

Good chat between Tucker Carlson and Douglas McGregor.

It occurs to me that ~ ~ One of the reasons for this Ukraine War has been to empty large parts of the Ukraine of Ukrainians ( from the Globalists point of view )

It will be so much easier for the Globalists to take over large parts of the Ukraine, when they have emptied the Ukraine of Ukrainians !

The Globalists can’t get enough of the fertile chernozem soil farmland. To the detriment of the natives. Prior to 2022, Swedish funds were investing in that territory , l think.

No election in Ukraine even if truce with Russia achieved – Zelensky aide

The US-proposed 30-day ceasefire would not entail martial law being lifted, Mikhail Podoliak has said

Ukraine will maintain martial law and will not hold a presidential election even if a ceasefire with Russia is established, Mikhail Podoliak, adviser to Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky, told the Italian newspaper la Repubblica on Friday.
Martial law has been in place in Ukraine since the conflict with Russia escalated in February 2022. Zelensky’s presidential term officially expired in May 2024, and he has refused to hold a new election, leading to debates about the legitimacy of his administration.
Since US President Donald Trump assumed office in January, the US has been attempting to mediate peace in the conflict. Earlier this week, it proposed a 30-day ceasefire, which Ukraine claimed it was ready to implement, contingent upon Russia’s agreement.
Russian President Vladimir Putin called the idea of a ceasefire “a good one” but pointed to a number of issues that would have to be addressed beforehand. Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday that the issues would likely be discussed with Washington during future contacts.

According to Podoliak, however, a temporary ceasefire does not equate to the end of the conflict.
“We must maintain the ability to fight until the situation is regulated,” Zelensky’s aide said in an interview with la Repubblica.
“The 30-day ceasefire will not unblock the elections,” he added.
In January, Putin stated that Zelensky is illegitimate, a circumstance that could invalidate any agreements that are reached with his involvement. Zelensky had previously enacted legislation prohibiting negotiations with Russia’s current leadership.
The Trump administration has begun reestablishing contacts with Russia and has attempted to push Kiev toward seeking a resolution to the hostilities. In February, the Kremlin said that Putin was ready to negotiate with Zelensky, but pointed out the need to address the legal aspects related to the latter’s legitimacy as head of state.

Zelensky announces push to enlist younger men

Kiev is lowering its military recruitment age-range as the US nudges it into a truce with Russia

Ukraine must enlist more young men into its armed forces, as a number of units face a pressing need for reinforcements, according to Vladimir Zelensky.
In a regular news briefing on Monday, Zelensky announced that the military leadership had approved an expansion of recruitment targeting citizens aged 18 to 24. While mandatory conscription applies to men over 24, the government is trying to encourage younger individuals to volunteer by offering an array of incentives.
“I visited the front on Saturday. There is a demand from specific brigades, and we will be responding positively to it. There will be more brigades employing young specialists,” Zelensky stated. “This initiative will extend to the National Guard and border guard units, as all effective defense forces should be given every opportunity to enhance their capabilities.”
Under a recruitment campaign launched in February, young adults are promised 1 million hryvnia ($24,000) for a year of military service, as well as free dental care and the option to leave Ukraine after fulfilling their contract – an option not available to regular fighting-age men.

The Defense Ministry is promoting the offer by showing how much recruits can buy with the money – equating it to 15,625 cheeseburgers or 185 years of Netflix subscriptions. Critics have condemned the ad campaign as demeaning to potential recruits.
Last year, Zelensky reduced the minimum conscription age from 27 to 25, but refrained from further adjustments, citing concerns over the economic and demographic impact. Western supporters have urged Kiev to enlist younger men, saying the aging Ukrainian army is struggling to fight effectively.
Ukraine is intensifying its mobilization efforts as the US attempts to mediate a resolution to the conflict with Russia, leveraging Kiev’s reliance on foreign aid. Washington has convinced both sides to agree to a moratorium on strikes against energy infrastructure. After several attacks, however, Moscow has accused Kiev of not honoring its obligation and has threatened to pull out of the 30-day partial ceasefire.
Over the past few days, US officials met separately with Ukrainian and Russian delegations in Saudi Arabia to explore the potential resumption of the Black Sea Initiative, aimed at facilitating maritime exports.
