Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview -

"It’s hard to say where the breaking point is. In fact, the breaking point should bring nations of the collective West to senses, but regrettably, it is not happening. Obviously, the degree of direct and indirect involvement in this conflict by the countries of the collective West is surging day by day," he said when asked about limits of the escalation.

Peskov was asked this question in the context of new arms supplies to Kiev.

"This may protract the conflict, but will not turn the tide drastically. It cannot turn the tide at all," Peskov emphasized.
"Russia will press on with the [special military] operation, and Russia will ensure its interests one way or another and achieve the designated objectives," he added.

Russia is just getting on with life and seems somewhat bewildered as to the west's nonsensical intransigence over Ukraine. They are obviously of the opinion that NATO is a spent force and is no longer anything to worry about. Certainly, all the little flea bites being inflicted by Ukraine with its hopeless incursions are of no concern whatsoever, despite the twats on here hailing them as the end of the wicked Russian empire.

McGregor got it wrong in one respect though when he said that defence funding would be the first item cut in any budget deal to prevent the US defaulting. According to TASS -

The deal would suspend the $31.4 trillion debt ceiling until January of 2025. In exchange, non-defense discretionary spending would be capped at current year levels in 2024 and increased by only 1% in 2025, Reuters said. Defense expenditures will be increased in the period, according to the Washington Post newspaper.

Mindless, utterly bloody mindless, and the poor Colonel is probably banging his head against the wall in disbelief, as I am.
