Anyway, here's the update Jerry is avoiding: Russia is currently advancing on virtually every front and is expected to erase every gain made by Ukraine in its counteroffensive operation in 1-2 weeks. The main reason for this is the impending collapse of the Krinky bridgehead, Ukraine basically threw the kitchen sink at this region to establish an attack front on 'Russia's side' of the Dnipro. Lots of lives and kit lost. All that's going to be for naught very rapidly, and there's really not going to be any way the Ukrainian regime can downplay such a loss because they blew their horns for months about how significant a gain it was for the AFU. Hugely demoralizing. Honestly this could be the straw that breaks the camel'sback and might galvanize support for Zaluzhny. Every day brings Zelenski closer to a coup.

And that was a political stunt to open the american purse, so it was a failure on that front as well.

The problem that's been highlighted here by the wives is that their husbands units are not being rotated out of the line. A functioning army would have new units ready to take the line and allow others to take some R&R. On top of that the mobiks have no end date to their deployment. And the wounded are being sent back into combat. The wives justifiably feel their men have "done their bit".

All this suggests that the Russians have no reserves.
It suggests two things.

1. You seem unaware of the Russian method of warfare, it is on to Berlin.

2. The reserves are exactly that, nice and warm and in RESERVE, in case of maybe the poles becoming Polish

Women whinging about their men being at war is as old as the hills....
Some here think it's a new thing and only Russian women do it.
That's the level 'debate' has reached here now.😂

So Putin is shipping muslim fighting men to two destinations.

1. Ukraine to get killed
and
2. Ireland to get free shit.

Putin is a fucking legend.

It's the yankee plant in Kieeeevvvvvvveeeeee they need rid of...👍
I don't think taking Kieve is really the objective. Avdiivka is the most prized scalp as this is the most fortified bastion of Ukrainian defense in all of southern Ukraine. Russians are on track to take it but I don't think they'll manage this for some time longer, maybe 2-3 months. If Russia does capture it within weeks it really is totally over for the AFU.

A yes man for his establishment bosses in Brussels.
People like these have no mind of their own.
Just act's his role out for his bosses then.
He doesn't consider the electorate to be his bosse anymore either given his apparent distain for their concerns.
And given his dismal personal vote haul and of his party's the last time out.
I hope his bosses in Brussels look after him after the next election.

They are in no great rush, surely it is better for Ukraine to use up whatever dribs and draws of ordinance they have while Russia can begin making decent moves forward elsewhere.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Over 70% of Ukrainian men are ready to renounce their citizenship in order to avoid serving in the Ukrainian armed forces, a poll conducted by the deputy head of the Ukrainian parliamentary Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, Mariana Bezuhla, showed on Monday.
"An experimental survey. Now only for men. So as not to be mobilized, am I ready to renounce Ukrainian citizenship?" Bezuhla wrote on social media.
Out of 3,773 respondents, 74% answered satisfactorily, while the rest said "no." Earlier on Monday, she also polled women, asking whether they were ready to renounce citizenship in order not to be sent to rear positions and defense enterprises. Over 3,500 people took part in the poll, with 63% agreeing with this proposal.

But sure they know who is using them, what they're being used for🩸, and that there is no winning because Ukraine has been destroyed.

Keep on Fighting with No available Win or Concede and Rebuild?

Wukraine has wedged itself between a rock and a hard place of it's own making. Fighting Russia cannot help it recover from the consequences of a Gamble which failed & lost.

. . .The professor went on to say that if no foreign aid is available in the foreseeable future, the Ukrainian government "might seize a relevant share of these savings, thereby obliging wealthy people to finance the public sector’s debt, without any compensation since in this case no interest payment would occur."
This would also give a terrible signal both to the country's rich and the whole Ukrainian population in general, according to Rossi: "It would be a dictatorship imposition, in an undemocratic regime that could induce a series of social riots and revolutions over the long run," he warned. . . .

"...the relatives of the mobilized are not accepting all this. A growing movement is demanding that they be brought home, moving from attempts at dialogue with local officials and appeals to the president to street actions and mass flash mobs. Their demands include the establishment of a one-year time limit for mobilization, or a complete transition to contractual status. The movement also demands rights to social protest and public assembly, as well as “social justice and equality in rights and duties for everyone, including the mobilized.”

This may have some momentum. It's bad optics and bad for morale for Putin to jail them. Can he pay them all off? The wives and mother's must know that taking money to stop protesting, means certain death for their loved ones on the front line.

This was posted just before the Feb 2022 invasion.

Why Russia was always going to invade Ukraine.

Russia to achieve all set goals in special military op — Putin

Russian President thanked the servicemen for their exemplary service, for staying true to the oath they took to carry out their military duty
MOSCOW, December 20. /TASS/. Russia will accomplish all the tasks of the special military operation and protect its sovereignty and security, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at an awards ceremony for Russian Heroes.

"Our whole country, all our citizens are proud of you and believe in you. You have to act in a difficult combat situation, overcome serious trials. But I know your attitude, the attitude of all our fighters and commanders. That is why I am sure that we will achieve all the goals we have set, we will reliably protect our people, sovereignty and security of the Motherland," the head of state said.

Kiev openly resorts to terrorism with Western support — Putin

"We need to strengthen our counterterrorism efforts across all areas, to take advantage of the wide range of technical and operational capabilities of our special services, and to cooperate with the Defense Ministry and other agencies," he added.

The president went on to say that protection of state borders requires special attention, "especially the areas in close proximity to the line of contact."

"Also, please provide all necessary assistance and support to the residents of border regions," Putin continued.

He noted that in the past year, "much has been done to provide counterintelligence support for the special military operation, to protect the lives and safety of our citizens in the Donetsk and Lugansk people's republics, in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.".

But sure the above was the case since 2014 - 8 years of Kiev's Bombing brought on the Russian SMO response we know so well today.

Wall Street Journal observer calls Putin geopolitical winner of the year

NEW YORK, December 20. /TASS/. The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) analyst Gerard Baker called Russian President Vladimir Putin "the geopolitical winner of the year."

He explained his choice by saying that "Kiev’s much-vaunted counteroffensive has stalled; Mr. Putin’s economy has withstood Western sanctions; European resolve is fading; American support is fracturing."

I'd say that's an award that Putin didn’t particularly want to have got.
But he's still the only rational adult leader in these demented days.
Who understands what is happening and how events will most likely conclude.
The rest!
The West is run by incompetent narcissistic creeps or genuine imbeciles

Perhaps it’s a naive view but I see Western leaders as mere frontmen for the Globalist financiers that dictate all policy in their countries in ways beneficial to them, but not to the people, whereas I see Putin as someone actually trying to make Russia a better place for its people.

MOSCOW, December 19. /TASS/. Had Kiev and the West implemented the Minsk Agreements, things would eventually have "worked out" in Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the Defense Ministry board.
"Had the Ukrainian authorities and their Western sponsors made it happen, implementing those accords, I truly do believe that things would gradually have worked out," he noted, addressing a board meeting of the Russian Defense Ministry.
According to Putin, the Donbass issue emerged after Crimea was reunited with Russia in 2014. "You know, we calmly tried to make agreements. In fact, we were ready to gradually restore Ukraine’s territorial integrity on certain terms enshrined in the Minsk Agreements, which would have applied to Donbass," the president said. He emphasized that there had been certain conditions that could have made it possible to avoid endangering the lives of people living in the region, while ensuring security guarantees. "This was the essence of the Minsk Agreements," the Russian head of state stressed.

The west is certainly wasting everybody's time, money & lives with it's initiatives in Old Ukraine

MOSCOW, December 20. /TASS/. Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov dismissed efforts to find a peace formula on Ukraine without Russia taking part as absurd.

"Efforts are being made to find a peace formula without involving Russia. This process is at least absurd. But seriously, this is a process that does not have the potential to yield any results," Peskov told reporters.

You've got to wonder just how brainless these people are to think that they can impose a peace settlement of their own design on Russia. Isn't that just what the Ukrainian army is trying to do, and failing miserably?

The crackdown on ethnic and religious minorities, as well as the media, alongside a notable absence of a clear political vision for the future, are far more dangerous for Ukraine than the lack of a military strategy, Professor Nicolai N. Petro told Sputnik.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has silenced almost all critics of his regime, said Nikolai Petro, professor of political science at the University of Rhode Island. . . .

. . . Prior to Zelensky ascending to power, Russian-speakers in Ukraine were turned into nothing short of a "second-class people" following the February 2014 coup in Kiev that was backed by the US and fomented by Ukrainian ultra-nationalist elements.

50+ against 1 🤪

MOSCOW, December 18. /TASS/. Russia has every reason to believe that NATO’s career military personnel fight in the conflict in Ukraine, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said in an interview with the Great Game program on Channel One.
"There is every reason to suspect that alongside mercenaries - I cannot state this with one hundred percent certainty, under oath - that NATO countries' career military personnel are involved in hostilities in Ukraine," Lavrov said.
In addition, he noted "many facts, including video evidence [testifying to the presence in Ukraine] of mercenaries from Poland and other European countries."
"Even from some Middle Eastern countries, where the Americans, in particular in Syria, still keep the Al-Tanf military base, and where militants of the Islamic State (banned in Russia - TASS) feel at ease. Some of them have already turned up in Ukraine," Lavrov added.

He's careful to be truthful, states the facts as he's prepared to do.
On the Issue of foreigners and foreign ethnic minorities among the Uke ranks, he's got proof plenty of that, all along the last two years. :geek:
