Trump said that on the first day he would order the border closed and drilling for oil to be expanded.

The media used this as an example of him telling everyone that he would be a dictator.

Trump was referring to Executive Orders he would sign in the first day in office.

There is a confusion between using these and diktats from an unrestrained despot.
