Kadima Mbuye, 53, a failed asylum seeker from the Congo who has been living in Ireland for nine years, was charged at a special sitting of Newcastle West Court in Limerick on Sunday with intentionally engaging in offensive conduct of a sexual nature.

A patient in University Hospital Limerick recovering from major surgery last March said she was terrified after the Congolese man allegedly broke into her room in the middle of the night and started masturbating in front of her.

“She said she was scared to scream as she couldn’t physically move due to her surgery. She was terrified he was going to attack her,” said Detective Garda Fiona O'Connell.

Mbuye denies the charge but was denied bail.

In 2021, Mbuye was accused (https://www.sundayworld.com/crime/c...l-staff-with-knife-granted-bail/40637378.html) of threatening staff with a knife at the Travelodge Hotel in Ballymun.

His Defence solicitor had told the court he was in discussion with the Dept of Justice in relation to voluntary repatriation but that it was a complex and lengthy process.

Bring back hanging.....or lynching even.
This rot has to be rooted out and disposed of.

Indeed. Some poor plank learned a hard lesson a few years back.

Nah, just give them a pedallo, compass and maybe a breakfast roll from the Centra as they pass on the way down to the beach.

What's likely to happen this degenerate ? These are heavy charges , taking into account his previous for the knife caper at Travelodge ballymun I would have thought a custodial sentence is appropriate followed by immediate deportation as he has no legal right to even be in this country

I recall a time, not so many moons ago, when certain sections of society were clamouring for people to be locked up in isolation camps for having the audacity to refuse to boost big pharma profits and take charge of their own health instead. But any suggestion that the same be applied to murderers, rapists and those tossing over cancer patients is, of course, far right racism.

Before you there would even be a chance of this grifter, and freeloader being deported he would have had to have scammed, robbed or otherwise defrauded some well-known politician or celebrity. Hacking away at the commoner or pleb...well who would give a uck about them? Ireland is not a country for the plebs, plebs are just there to keep the elites in the comforts we have provided for them. Anyway, any talk of deportation would bring the armies of NGOs out of the woodwork in support of this fine upstanding citizen. Just as a side, I wonder how the patient feels about the "Refugees Welcome" brigade or maybe..........?
