A lezzer Gah player was on the radio today (think it was yer one above) saying there must be an initiative to make more male players 'come out'. She said there's loads of lezzers who are "out" but no queer lads since Donal Óg.

Someone needs to point out the fact that in women's sport in general there seems to be a massive overrepresentation of lesbians compared to the general population. In men's sport the percentage is if anything likely to be less overall so there'd only be a fraction of the amount of gays compared to women.

Herself and the male presenter said how great it was last year when a Club Captain thanked all the lad's wives, girlfriends....and boyfriends, in his speech when they'd won the league.

Maybe its time they changed the name from G.A.A to G.A.Y?
Why doesn't she play against the Men ? !

Poor @Coal Gas and peat must be reeling after that Monaghan performance today.

They are missing an awful lot of players including beggan out in Connecticut doing NFL , but they are going down now no matter what ......only question is can Corey get the show back on the road for the Ulster preliminary round V Cavan on April 7th

A rundown on the opening weekend of championship football......in Ulster Monaghan suffered a chastening defeat to Cavan , Cavan came strong at the business end and blew Monaghan away ......in Connaught mayo and galway had facile victories away to london and new york .......in Leinster Wicklow has a shock win over Westmeath and in munster cork beat clare while waterford defeated tipperary in what was their first championship win in 14 years ......up the deise :)

The answer to this is no Corey could not get the show on the road and it's my understanding that if a division 2 team make a provincial final Monaghan will be pushed into the tailleann cup , where they deserve to be

Both Harte and McGuinness won silverware in their first foray back in the game.

Reckon Derry could go all the way and Donegal will do summat in Ulster.

Armagh lost a penalty shootout for the third time in three seasons in the Ulster decider today , two teams could not be separated and the game finished Donegal 0-20 Armagh 0-20 (aet)mcguinness has won Ulster in his first season back

Louth produced a great performance in croke park to push Dublin all the way in the Leinster decider.....Louth did not contest any Dublin kick outs in the first half instead funnelling all their players inside their own 45 ....it was a tactic Dublin seemed to have trouble with ......Louth were good enough on the counter to keep the scoreboard moving and led at half time ..... Dublin never put the match to bed and Louth pushed them to 4 points .....they are a very good team under the ex dub Ger Brennan and will have plenty to play for in the all ireland group stage

I wonder has Nordie gotten over Armagh's latest penalty shootout tragedy yet?

Geezer should get his lads to practice kicks more. They're as bad as the English Soccer team!

None of the matches were on free to air. The grab all association seem to be doing all in their power to systematically destroy the game. Attendances looked pitiful for a lot of the matches.
The Saturday game was pathetic hopeless too hoping from football to hurling and back again Jesus fuck

Kerry are the clear favourites of course , they closed out the victory well

Donegal were well tested by an absolutely gallant Louth team

Galway pulled out a monster of a second half to possibly retire Dessie Farrell

Armagh won comfortably against the rossies but I'm sure even @seeksthefairland would admit they were nowhere near their best , but will be very happy with how things sit tonight

And just to be Clear all of Monaghan including me will be roaring Armagh on in the semi final as would be expected , could McGeeney pull this off after all the heartache the Orchard have had in recent years ?
He captained and won an all Ireland as a player ....can he send out a team to win an all Ireland

Ray Silke captained the last Galway winning side from centre half back , Mr Joyce provided the firepower up front a class class player who wanted goals ....that must be Ray silke's son on the current Galway side

Armagh v Galway final would be epic it would be decided by 1 point
