One of the reasons attitudes to abortion changed is because the Left convinced many women that pregnancy is seriously dangerous and terrifying. While there are risks, the chances of something going wrong are in the same realm as getting knocked down when crossing the road. Pregnancy to the Left means the likely risk of death, or at least the end of their youth. They also use "mental health" arguments for why pregnancy is bad. This is another inversion of reality because giving birth is natural.
No woman don't actually wants to have an abortion, but they have been convinced to want the option, a failsafe key, just in case they get pregnant. 'Just in case' is any hypothetical scenario unlikely to happen. Some women want the abortion option even though they themselves have decided they never want to have children (instead of choosing legal contraceptive options or getting their tubes tied). Some want it even though they don't have sex and will never get pregnant.
Pregnancy to the Left means your life is danger, no getting pissed every weekend and spending all your money on clothes and travel, your career is ruined, you'll have to "slave all day over a hot stove", you'll just be a boring mother staying at home while all your friends are having fun getting wasted and riding the cock carousel. It's all ridiculous because mothers are usually very happy about their baby. For some it is the happiest time of their life. Mothers are generally happier than non-mothers who are often miserable, feminist cat ladies and wine aunts.
