This is a key observation, the moon landings were more important in human history than the discovery of America or Australia. They would have been discovered by someone as humans were there before white men. In all those cases men returned within 50 years. Not only that, but there is no record on any living thing, human or animal ever going beyond LEO. They cannot ever go up half way there and come back.

I believe that in the year 2123, these conversations will still be live. My father was right , it was all a movie.

Say you run a plumbing company with you and two other workers and a white van. You get the job of fixing a leak in Beaumont hospital ward 4. You do that. What do you know about the management, what individual doctors and nurses are at? Will you know how much a consultant in one room earns?

If it was a fake, only the astronauts and a few staff at high levels would know about it.

It's not David Icke. The clip is one of many, many examples of NASA's use of augmented reality. The guy in green is watching a monitor that shows a CGI object floating that he is meant to interact with (virtually). The real life footage above is supposed to show that virtual object, but it doesn't.

I was wee lad that night and sat up with the sisters. Daddy came down to tell us to get to bed. A suggestion more than an order. We believed in Santy and TV wrestling, but knew films were fiction. He said it was just made up, like a film. He let us discover about Santy, but told us the wrestling was fake and explained to us what to look for.

He let us stay up. There was a long pause from they landed to Armstrong stepping on the moon. There were Armstrong's namesakes living around which were Catholic and are are Traynors. My sister wondered if Neil was a relation. If you told me that night that I would live 54 years longer and that by then no one would know one way of the other if t they landed or not I would not believe you. The fact is

AS politician promised they would go to the moon and back, Kennedy had no way to predict that.

No politician ever delivered on a promise. The ascent vehicles was not real, that was a film set.

I think they were there on the moon.

Apparently Tony Blair ( former British Prime Minister ) thought they spoke Brazilian in Brazil = = According to Peter Hitchens anyway ! ! !
 
It has been debated. We have waited 55 years with nothing and we will wait another 55 as well.

Get back to us if anyone gets above low earth orbit.
 
Answered a million times. Call me when they visit the moon again, but we will be long-dead by then.

OK, there is low earth orbit which is safe from solar and interstellar radiation. The allegation is that
Apollo just went up to it and not beyond it. We all agree that they did not go back to the moon with staff.

But, But did they go beyond the belt? Did any living thing rise out through that belt? It is 230,000 miles to the moon, did anyone go up 50,000 or 100,000 miles and return to earth? That would prove it was safe without
all the expense and risk or going to the moon or landing on the moon and returning.

It seems to me there would have been several non moon reasons to go into space above low earth orbit. China, Russia and India probably wonder if it is safe and would like to know the result of the Artemis lunar mission.

Why is there no result? Could it be that the news brough back from those on board instruments conveyed very bad news?

People back then were prepared to take the risks.
And they were huge and many.
There was a confidence and acceptance of risks.
It was the last gasp of the US can do pioneer spirit.
It was all about belief in the nations ability.
It's safe to say that self belief isn't there anymore.
Today its who to blame when it goes wrong.
Add in accountants safety and diversity quota requirements.
Musk is an interesting throwback.
Money is going to be his downfall with space exploration.

Yes there was a dick swinging competition between the USA and the USSR to drive the whole enterprise as well.
Plus the US public totally lost interest.
The point I was trying to get across was that you had to have the national and technical science confidence to even think you can take on such an enormous challenge.

Some people say faking the moon landing is impossible because everyone working at NASA would have to be part of the conspiracy. The Manhattan Project is an example why that is not the case.

I meet people all the times who will answer that the answer to my question is classified and they can not discuss.
