I think Russia is done negotiating. They may agree to extended talks while consolidating more territory . Russia obviously needs Ukraine out from under Western influence. This will involve complete conquest

"To encourage Zelensky to engage in negotiations, NATO may extend security guarantees to Ukraine, even without the country's formal entry into the alliance."

I think that would be Zelenskys starting demand from the West to even think about talking to Putin. Since Putin went to war to stop this from happening, it basically means the whole invasion was all for nothing.

With Finland and Sweden also joining, it has all served to increase NATO power, see a huge increase in Western defence spending while destroying half the Russia army and watching the Russian Navy abandon Sevastopol.

Maybe it's time for the West to cash in their chips. And time for Putin to stop the bleeding.

So the 'Putin will be ousted by his own as Ukraine sweep to victory, crushing the Russian Army and taking back all land plus Crimea' narrative has changed to...

'Ok Putin will not be ousted from Power, he'll keep Crimea and the newly annexed oblasts, Ukraine will never be in NATO, but NATO is stronger and some Russians died, so we've secured a massive victory'.

I've a feeling the last person on earth still believing in this 'victory' will be Jarry🙄
