Sir, Loyd George said negotiating with De Valera was like trying to pick up mercury with a fork.
I would say Dev was incapable of negotiating. A half idiot with a jewish father calling himself Spanish and a Moly Coll from Bruff. That is not to say that he might have been luckier for us than Collins.

I saw there on the news that Astra Vinegar has admitted their vaccine is a killer

He pretty much handed over the Irish constitution to Arch Bishop McQuaid for his approval before it was finalized.

Well he did un-do the 1921 treaty by 1938 without a peep from the Brits and managed to get Ireland off having to pay £68 million owed in Land Annuities. Something which Parnell didn't achieve, was never on radar of Redmond and which was accepted and agreed to by Collins and Cumann na hGaedheal government until 1932

That is factual. The Irish government collected the annuity. I paid it on land I had called a moyety.

About £1.75 a half year.

£1.75? That's not too much Val. You wouldn't get a roll of sweets for that nowadays.

But wait, Our expert Professor Luke says it's OK . . .

Professor Luke O’Neill has shared his belief that counties shouldn’t have been so quick to suspend AstraZeneca vaccinations. . . .
. . . There were concerns following reports of blood clots in those who had received the vaccine. . .
. . .
Professor O’Neill was then quizzed on people’s hesitancy following news of this link of blood clots.
‘That was a huge reason not to do this [suspend AstraZeneca vaccines] because of previous sitations,’ he responded.
‘We know, for example, the HPV vaccine was stalled in Japan. When they reintroduced it, nobody would take it.’

Professor O’Neill quoted a survey in which 38% of people 😰😨😰😨are now ‘anxious about this vaccine, so that’s the downside’.
He then suggested a large campaign around the reintroduction of the AstraZeneca vaccine ‘to remind people this is a very efficacious vaccine’.💩

He's a talking head!
And at this point I'd discount anything he says!
That's being polite!
