A Possible Energy Shutdown?

i had a loan of a golf 2.0 for 2 weeks when my sister was on her honymoon and i averaged 63 mpg.
your gallon i think is different than ours .
my volvo b12 when the wind is behind its 18 tons fully laden will do 14mpg on cruise control 53 mph at 1100 revs is the sweet spot --i can get better on my own as the cruise control pushes it up a hill like diesel is free --i dont and can get sometimes 15 mpg .
for a 12 liter 18 tonner thats good .
The US gallon is 3.8 litres while the imperial gallon is 4.5 litres (both figures rounded). This is a significant difference and accounts for some of the gas guzzling reputation of American vehicles, their gallon is smaller which, to the casual observer, exagerates the fuel consumption when seen through British/Irish eyes.

Can we have a daily update on the price of juice.

Cheapest I saw today is 3.49 for gas and $5.69 for diesel.

My suburban gets about gets 15 mpg. My sons diesel rv van gets 15. His mustang gets about 22. His VW cc gets about 27 but premium. My wifes accord and daughters CRV get about 33.
The present car is my first with a fuel economy monitor and what has struck me is the huge variability it records, the major factor appearing to be wind strength and direction. Other odddities include the fact the drive into town is always more economical than the drive back over the exact same route, despite the house being at a slightly higher elevation!
