Donald Trump has provoked outrage among MPs and veterans after claiming Nato troops stayed away from the front line in Afghanistan.

He said: “We’ve never needed them.

“They’ll say they sent some troops to Afghanistan … and they did, they stayed a little back, a little off the front lines.”

Conservative MP Ben Obese-Jecty, who served in Afghanistan as a captain in the Royal Yorkshire Regiment, said it was “sad to see our nation’s sacrifice, and that of our Nato partners, held so cheaply by the president of the United States”.

Tan Dhesi, chairman of the Commons Defence Committee, said the president’s comments were “appalling and an insult to our brave British servicemen and women, who risked life and limb to help our allies, with many making the ultimate sacrifice”.

Former soldier, author and journalist Stephen Stewart, from Scotland, said: “Trump’s comments are as offensive as they are inaccurate.

“He has desecrated the memory of hundreds of British soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in Afghanistan, people who we called friends and comrades.'

“If he was a man of honour, he would get down on bended knees to ask forgiveness from the families of the fallen.”

Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey said in a post on X: “How dare he question their sacrifice. Farage and all the others still fawning over Trump should be ashamed.”

As I understand it, there was compensation available for the farmers. But the Brit deep state obviously want even their home population hooked on heroin. It makes them easier to manage. The Crown has been in the drugs business for several centuries and they fought two wars with China to force the Chinese to accept British opium. Of course, there was a big Jewish presence in the trade as well.

The drugs business is also big business, plenty making a career in the trade, it would be interesting to know just how many are involved. Property prices in certain parts of Spain would take hit if it was stopped.

Well, regarding Epstein, while the FBI seems very well resourced to go after anyone that Trump has a grudge against, and worked overtime to redact the Epstein files, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche says they have been simply unable to investigate any of the tips and evidence in the files about Trump. And that the case is over.
