As I explained before, thats not true. A child of immigrants can be born in Ireland, obtain citizenship via the rules, and grow up in Ireland as I have described: that person is Irish.

If I was born in Ireland, to Irish parents, then was immediately moved to Australia, obtained Australian citizenship, and spent my entire life there, I would be Australian in every way.

The same applies to European countries where I can be naturalised. I could grow up in Germany and have no connection or Irish identity at all, except through my parents.

Isnt this why those born to Irish parents that then grew up in the UK often called "plastic Paddies"? Many in Ireland dont see them as "Irish", but the ancestry is there.

So @Haven, now that we can assume that you don't actually believe in magic dirt, we're left with the "raised here" part, could you be more specific?

Say in the example I gave, a Nigerian woman giving birth on the tarmac of the runway of Dublin airport.. Then she's in hospitable for a month recovering from her ordeal. Then she decides to apply for asylum. After a year and a half her claim is rejected so at that point the baby has been "raised here" for 19 months. Is the baby now Irish? 🤔

Two and a half years later, after all her appeals for asylum have been exhausted, the baby is now a toddler or a preschooler, is he/she Irish then?

After that, the mother is granted 'leave to remain' and after that, attends a citizenship ceremony four years later, is that when the child becomes Irish?

Could you give us an idea of how all of this works 🤔

The core distinction you’re (conveniently) avoiding is simple: citizenship is a legal status, not a transformation of peoplehood.

A passport is simply an administrative recognition by a state; it doesn’t alter ancestry, ethnicity, or origin.

That’s why your own examples collapse under scrutiny: we all understand that someone does not become Japanese, Moroccan, or Chinese by legal naturalisation. If I attained Japanese citizenship, I still wouldn't 'BECOME’ Japanese. It would simply make life easier in terms of continuously having to apply for work permits. Nobody would refer to me as 'Japanese'. If the newspapers in Tokyo had to include me in an article for some reason, I would be (correctly) described as Irish. Not some gas lighting nonsense like "a Tokyoite".

If I moved to Germany when I was younger and spoke the language perfectly, I could probably pass for German. However the reality is I still wouldn't ACTUALLY be German. It would be false to claim that I was.

You seem to be seeing citizenship and national identity as interchangeable. But they are not. Your argument only works if you quietly redefine “Irish,” “German,” or “French” as purely administrative labels, while simultaneously acknowledging that no one applies that same logic to non-Western societies. (Why are all your weak examples from Western countries btw?)

respectfully disagree. We need checkpoints all along the 6 county border, the sea border, the 26 county border, the England/Scotalnd border, the England/Wales border and a shoot to kill policy on all sea areas from the English channel to the Orkneys and Galway Bay.

Thats not my argument. I'm not talking a "younger" you. I am talking about someone born in a country or moving almost immediatly after birth to a country. That child has no identity, its a baby. It develops that identity as it grows up in the society it lives in.

Anyway it's a moot point, bizarrely enough, the daily Mail is reporting he arrived in Dublin, then travelled North and applied for asylum in the UK.... He was given "leave to remain"......all those given leave to remain, and who in the public service signed off on that need to be identified. Their actions also need to have consequences. You only have to look what happened to our children on Parnell st, also by a " Leave to remainer"...

Would like to think the public will be outraged after this disgusting attempt at a beheading, but the world Cup starts Thursday so this story will be old news. That's shocking, so despite two beheadings, or attempted beheadings (murders anyway), the Sligo council "increased" the number of ipas in the region. You would have to ask, what does it take to put an end to this madness. The only difference to the Belfast attempted beheading and Pallani's is the Belfast one was caught on camera... and he survived, the Sligo lads died.

Lots of legal pressure on local politicians and top cops and judges.
But they have brass necks.

We have to - legally - make them more scared of us than they are of their judaeo-masonic masters.

Edel McGinley of HopeNot hate is urging refugee lovers to lobby politicians for more immigration. We must lobby even harder for massive remigration.

If we can get to the stage where local councillors are getting thirty and forty sharp - but perfectly legal - comments every day. coming from all sorts of people - young and old, rich and poor, little old dears and big strong young men this would have an effect on them.

Public mockery and contemptuous remarks, if repeated often enough. Spit on the road in front of them - not on them, obviously as that would be an offence.

make it so they never feel comfortable anywhere in public. And even in private, they should be gettiing upset phone calls and perfectly legal personal visits to their door. They knock on our doors, don't they?

Boycott their wives, families and friends and sneer at them. Make loud public references to allegations of nasty criminal behaviour.

Obviously, make sure it is safe for you to do this. keep it strictly legal and avoid profanity.
 
Local politicians are not scared of loosing votes because:
1. Elections are three years away
2. Elections are rigged.

Politicians are scared of what the judaeo-masons will do to them.
We have to be even scarier than the judaeo-masons.
