I forgot to tell you about the Walla Walla valley. This is a very fertile sheltered region of land in Washington State. Possibly extending into Oregon. The Nez Perce tribe lived there for hundreds of years. Along came the Europeans and tried to drive them out. Chief Joseph led his warriors and he was so good a fighter his tactics are still thought in military school. The Europeans eventually beat them and horsed them all a thousand miles away to Oklahoma. It makes my blood boil. The yanks will never have luck for it. The Brits did it and they are bucked and the yanks did it and they will soon be bucked. Why anyone would fight for either is beyond me.
It was not a case of a great military leader, it was a case of fighting to keep their home lands against bigger numbers and technology. The Indians lost in every case, the Irish managed to survive and set up their own state. Lets see how the Brits and yanks manage against Putin. They have been softened by fighting climate change

It was mind boggling to consider the people going westward through this terrain with no maps roads and dealing with wildlife and natives for many hundreds of miles.

All my life, I wanted to go to Butte.
This was an amazing feeling for me. I needed to go to that spot.
I was in Billings, cant remember Bute. Think Billings is the capital. You will hardly make it to Harding. The battle of the Little Big Horn? Its not too far from there. Crow natives live there.

some more from Butte. We met a great lad from Armagh who wned O Donnells and like I do will all Irish owners, we got on great. A smooth operation there and he was a pro, like I was myself. He spoke Irish and was an expert at Plámás.

So on the Saturday, we continued from Butte through Yellowstone National Park. We wanted to see animals and Geysers and we did. We did not see any bear though
