Now ye all know I'm hardly an economic genius. I can balance my cheque book so to speak. I have been speaking these last few days with old friends in a tourist town way Wesht - where I have been coming to for decades.
All of these old friends are SME/ sole traders. They all say that after last winter they are only now starting to break even with the 2nd VAT just around the corner .
Business is there but with everything from electricity to gas to basic supply costs rocketting sky high there will be many many going out of business because they are only working for the taxman at this stage.
The promised VAT cut will be too late for thousands of small businesses in the West
Government sits on their hands as one pillar of our economy crumbles and falls away.
I feel very bad for hardworking people who didnt gauge prices but provided the tourism product we were famous all over the world for.
Dole doors will be slapping come autumn and I am worried. Add to that the global debt monster they created

..
As Celente says ' When all else fails, they take you to war'
Or am I wrong?
