The dow is set to fall almost 1500 at the open, so it is going to be a rough day. Metals will get creamed today as well

Tomorrow could be doom for crypto as well if margin calls go out.
It could be one hell of a ride

The economy seems to be booming rather than falling apart. Tradesmen have never been so busy or impossible to get hold of while the queues and jams over the weekend as people went shopping were as long as I can ever remember them. Perhaps it's just spring fever or maybe folk are ignoring the memo, but there is no sign of things slowing down as we are told to expect.

Wow, the markets have given up the rally. I suspect now that somebody big is caught and is going to announce a bankruptcy

Here's a cheery read.

These financial types do like a spot of drama ladled over the cornflakes. I doubt that this really is the end of the world.

A lot of credible points in the article.
The global logistics industry is a very fine tuned instrument.
Remember that VLCC jamming the suez.
The Houthis at the moment.
This will totally fuck the transfer of the most mundane widget to a plant.
And if you can't source that!!!!!.
It's all JIT no inventory anymore.
Repercussions will appear in the most unexpected circumstances.

The blocking of the Suez and covid woke a lot of companies up to the supply chain being a little too finely tuned and I doubt that they have all left themselves as vulnerable. I know of an eastern tyre company that keeps stocks high here in the west and a well known European one that tried to be clever in the midst of the storm and lost a lot of business in doing so.

Besides lessons having been learned there is a slow down in manufacturing at the moment so the demand for components is not so strong.

All in all I'm not convinced that the supply chain will collapse to the extent that it did.

I sincerely hope that you will be proven correct!

They are corralling us that way. Lagarde said by October it'll be up and running.
That would be the Lagarde with criminal convictions similar to Le Pen but no jail sentence, unlike Ms Pen, but Lagarde doesn’t pose a threat to the rats nest that is the EU, so that's all right then!

Nothing, absolutely nothing mentioned in legacy media whatsoever about this.
Here's a thought.
The EU is dragging the Ukraine conflict on to allow them push this through.
Never let a crisis etc.

It's been quite, actually very low key!
Wouldn't want the plebs asking questions.
That might have answer's that wouldn't be right.

Has anyone got a track on how much dodgy insider trading has been going on with all this tariff bullshit yet?

I can only imagine the fortunes being amassed.

This is a pretty ominous take on the situation.
And another example of the scumbagger clique in the EU using the situation to take more power.

Coming our way!
Chickens coming home to roost. The mongs in this country thought it was a great idea to prostitute ourselves out to American companies looking to dodge fat tax bills.

As if that was something to be proud of?

Now they'll all feck off, and the same mongs will be looking for someone to blame.

Good employment with associated secondary services employment.
The problem is that they totally missed the boat wrt future trends in the sector.

Yeah but good for who? I'm very familiar with the area around Leixlip, and know for a fact that new estates in North Kildare are populated largely by Indians being employed by Intel and other multinationals nearby. How can young Irish couples compete with this?

And isn't it the sign of an immature, infantile nation that wears as a badge of honour the fact that it's a glorified tax haven for multinational companies?

That's the problem in a nutshell.
The MNCs start calling the shots employment wise in the country.
And by extension immigration policy.
It's happening at an accelerating pace.
No arguments about that.

Irish Politicians taking Orders from Foreign Entities is Treason = = I am sure that they know this = = But they have gotten away with it for years, so I suppose they intend to carry on as they have been doing !
