A Possible Energy Shutdown?

Hard to image ne many hanging on past 3 days. How many have gone home already?????
I read that up to 18 ships have passed through the straits of Hormuz in the last day or so at a reported cost of $2m apiece, paid in yuan or crypto currency to Tehran. Don't know whether they are all oil tankers but it's difficult to claim that the straits are still blocked.

marinetraffic.com would suggest otherwise.

A few bulk carriers but no oil tankers, afaics.

Dunno. I'm just repeating MSM reports. There are supposedly 60 or 70 large tractors, buses etc blocking O'Connell St and planning to stay the night. New arrivals expected tomorrow. Garda Sicini could just bust them in the middle of the night.

The only thing that protects politicians is cops. If the politicians tell the cops to arrest someone and the cops don't do it, that must make the politicos feel very uncomfortable, afraid and even threatened.... :)

Came up behind a roadblock on the way home, was on the bike so managed to filter through it and get away, there was one coming in the other way as well and not one cop car to be seen on either side of the M'way.

General BAC area? Great to hear the federales are not harassing the peasants. Is anybody carrying pitchforks ?

The guys are saying that at current prices they are losing money doing business. So they might as well lose money protesting. Makes sense.

School buses have to sign a five year contract and they cannot ask for more money, even if the price of fuel doubles. They won't be running next week - the contractors can't afford to run them.

The cops allowed the farmers occupy Bord Bia for six weeks. Wouldn't it be nice if they allowed the farmers and truckers block the Luas for six weeks???

But the problem with the pigs is that they are nice and polite one minute but they can turn on a sixpence. Suddenly, they're jabbing grannies with Tasers and committing homosexual attacks on heterosexual men. Very untrustworthy.

I heard where two towing companies refused to assist gardai. But it a lad from s having his tractor towed and impounded, he surely will crack and drive away.

As usual, there is no brains behind this. No clear purpose. They needed to convoy llcally to the house of their local TD and imform him of their displeased

MI5 Martin is calling it "national sabotage". Slimy Simon says it is "sinister and despicable". Big Jim is pushing the cops to crack down.

So far, the cops have just smirked and continued facilitating the protest. Good cops.

The Journal is allowing savage comments: block every road in the country, close down the airport, etc. Repeated references to mass immigration as sinister and despicable national sabotage. We are the normies now....

Sounds like the farmers will get savagely attacked early in the morning and their machinery impounded. Let us pray for their safety.

Local is best, of course. Looks like there are lots of local protests planned tomorrow, dunno if they are going to the houses of local politicos. It would be a good idea :)

The cities are easy to seize up but out in the sticks people are just finding a way round the jams, the two I came across today were only a couple of hundred metres long and folk were sneaking past on the hard shoulder. Mind you, we were sent home early to give people time to get home which means man hours lost, so it is having an effect other than just holding the traffic up.

Has there been a big turnout of farmers from east Galway?

I heard there is going to be an attempt to block Killaan Cross . Woodlawn is to be starved and refugees are fleeing to Kilconnell and Ballymac and a few desperate even going to New Inn.

Big Jim is sending in the Army to remove heavy trucks blocking fuel depots. He urges people to move their machines or not to complain later if they are damaged. Sounds like a threat to cause criminal damage. Someone should report him to the cops.

Protestors laughed when journos told them the Army was coming. "He can send whoever he wants".

There is no need to tow any trucks. The Army can just drive them away. But will the Army be carrying guns? And if they are, how much ammunition will they have with them?

Strange that the politicos would get so aggressive so quickly. They must have got a call from the Israelis. Strange that Uachtaran Connolly is so quiet.

Mehole says the protest have 'gone far beyond The Pale'!

"Protest has gone 'far beyond the pale', says Taoiseach

The Taoiseach said that the right to peaceful protest was "a cornerstone of our democracy" but that protests had gone "far beyond the pale now".

"We don't want to be denying that right or the opportunity for people to articulate their position. But these type of protests have gone far beyond the pale now, in terms of the undermining of citizens' rights to access the fundamentals of life itself.

"It's extraordinary that we've managed to keep the economy going and keep supplies of fuel going, nothwithstanding the unprecedented war in the Middle East.

"And it is now action taken by people here on our own island that is denying people access to fuel and is undermining supplies."

No shit, Sherlock.....it's nationwide.

Then again, this gowl probably doesn't know what that expression means in an Irish context.

Muppet.

The government just has to cut the tax on fuel, and this is over. They won't, as they need the tax to pay for ipas centres and Ukraine/Palestine. I went down to O'Connell Street earlier, good atmosphere, people just going about their normal duties. I would have liked to have seen more tricolours on the tractors and trucks but there were a few. The luas green line looks like it has to terminate on Westmoreland st. One thing I noticed is Garda have blocked the quays at the Morrison hotel. Which is odd as they could let busses pass down to O'Connell bridge if they wanted, but instead bus passengers have to disembark up by the four courts... Wonder is that inconvenience part of the government plan to try turn the public on the protestors 🤔

Garda were very aggressive at 0930 in Sligo, according to Offgridireland.

No Gardai visible on O'Connell St, Dublin, say MSM.

No reports of Army, although the order was given six hours ago. MSM report unofficial Army source saying: No official request received.

Not much of a Garda presence around O'Connell st, it's very peaceful there this morning, groups of men chatting away. Could change quickly tho, if the government act the boot boys

Didn't Micky Martin boast to one of Our Guys that he, Martin, doesn't make any decisions? If Irish ministers are threatening peaceful protestors, it is because they have got the call from the Israelis.

I hope the Army boys arrest the Cabinet and get them certified as lunatics. All you need is two doctors. The Nigerian who is the Garda doc will happily sign.

Canadian ladyGarda, Ms Coxon was laying down the law earlier. Strange that they would wheel her out, instead of Justin. There was some awful stuff going on in Canada when she was over there. Some grim parties at the pig farmer's place with Justin Trudeau.

All quiet at the front line and then the government suddenly starts throwing its weight around. Starting to think that @scolairebocht be on to something after all.

Goes to show how fragile the whole thing is ! ! !

A few on Lamp-Posts and the whole thing would collapse ! ! !

Nepobaby McEntee has labelled the protestors "criminal".

Says the worst Justice Minister the country has ever produced. The same bitch who has presided over the importation of the dregs of the world into the country at a huge cost to the Irish taxpayer.

I wish the protestors would blockade her gaff in Meath so we wouldn't have to hear from her for the foreseeable future.

some fuel depots state they are out of diesel in kilkenny - no diesel in callan --inver closed on castlecomer rd ---security men on the road outside the black QUARRY SERVICE STATION TRYING TO CONTROL THE PANIC .
To know which roads are blocked use website TII.ie which shows what is impossible across ireland .
i was doing a big conference for 3 days in kilkenny and today we had to park up at midday as the ring road was locked up as the kilkenny waterford road was blocked and people re routed through kilkenny .
i have a group from dublin airport tonight and we are using the road beside the runway to naul and northbound is blocked and we hope southbound will be free tonight if not a lot of cross country driving is required or a hotel -one of the other .

Hopefully these protests and blockades will continue indefinitely.
It's about time the bastard traitors of FFG/SF got a reality check.
Lock the country down and deprive the filthy gowls of all our lovely tax euro's.
Stock up and sit tight.

The usual bollox talking and smearing by these total retards.
Are the 'far right' under your bed, O'Callaghan? or is that your sister?
This idiotic moron thinks Irish farmers and small buisness owners are being ran by Tommy Robinson and the like.
The rest of the yapping poodles will be along with the same line within hours too.
The resident dickhead here will be bootlicking the government in the same way as usual, of course.

Ya just have to laugh.:ROFLMAO:

Outside politicians' houses would be a great place for a protest. But for some reason they get very upset when that happens :)

Short of any real reasons for their tough stance the government is looking to justify its actions and turns to what it knows well, being manipulated by outside actors. It's called projection.

I think this episode is going to bring home to a lot more people just how unhinged the government is and rather than representing the interests of Ireland it is now our greatest foe.

Excellent Post.

MSM gave the protests lots of publicity.
Gardai have allowed them.

If they had wanted to stop them, they would simply grab the drivers, haul them out, rip the key out of their hand and drive the machinery away. Then the cops would vandalise the machinery and torture the drivers. Happens every day of the week.

So why all the huffing and puffing about bringing in the Army? There is absolutely no need for it. They are a bunch of drama queens.

Two explanations:

Cops and MSM want lower fuel prices also.
The system wants chaos and confusion, Irish fighting each other. A fuel price demo is as good an excuse as any.

Either way, it is good news that we can protest without getting tear gassed. Maybe it's a good idea to avoid the traffic jams, fuel depots and concentrate on politicians homes, TDs and councillors?

As well as 100 men outside each house, a couple of big machines. They add some perfectly legal intimidation.Wouldn't it be great fun to drive one of them big tractors over an (empty) squad car?

With 174 TDs, if the cops wanted to match our hundred outside each house, the entire Force would be concentrated there, leaving us free everywhere else.

O'Connell st is a great symbolic location, especially in the week after Easter. And it seems to be working - there is increased pedestrian footfall and they were playing football on the bridge. And they can move up to the Dail to greet the politicians.

There is talk that Dublin Bus are on a partial sympathy strike. Any truth in that?

Also good news that despite the order to call out the Army been given at 8:30am, twelve hours later and there is zero sign of them. Chief of the very small Staff, Rossa Mulcahy, says the only help they will give is heavy lifting equipment. He seems to be ruling out using live bullets, which is encouraging.

MSM journos helpfully tell us that they only have 4 heavy lifting thingies, so it will take a long time to move hundreds of trucks. :)
