It's funny how RTÉ is doing its very best to ignore the spoilt votes—they're currently at about 14%, but if you throw Gavin into the mix, spoilt votes are over 20%.

I fail to understand why they are counting Gavin's votes as legitimate. He pulled out, so a vote for Gavin was a spoilt vote.
Because it reduces the spoilt vote tally.

One guy has estimated that Catherine Connolly is being elected on the basis of a whole 15% of the electorate.
when you add the BOTH COLUMS OF SPOILED VOTES Gavin +xxxxxxx.
in many working class constituencies it was greater than the combined electoral vote ..
in one Dublin area i heard a figure of 53% spoiled combined vote .
there is a NOTICING going on amongst the working class -they now see they are on their own .
they do not have the garda on their side they have no government minister on their side and no government minister has an IPAS center in THEIR constituency.
this is now out of control --the gorge Soros /kilergi plan is not going down well in Ireland and when you examine the news of just yesterday ,
you listen to RTE state meihal martin attended the coalition of the willing meeting by zoom of insane European heads of state who wish to topple the Russian government and destabilise Russia and then rob it .
just because Blackrock the worlds wealthiest Jewish co has purchased from zalenksky the wealth of Ukraine which is located in Russian speaking and now Russian controlled territory .
our head lunatic Taoiseach of a neutral country wants a piece of this nuclear bomb deal and has identified himself and us as a willing partners in this insane theft .
we live in changed times -had he remained head of fianna fail we would not have this mess nor would he join a COALITION OF THE WILLING and would have pointed out the wishes of the IRISH PEOPLE are that we remain neutral.

Connolly scored 25.3% of the electorate.
Spoilt vote was 5.9% of the electorate.
I suppose you could then add the Gavin votes into the spoilt column, but people voting for Gavin wont be voting for your politics.

The clear winner in all this is Sinn Fein, and the left more generally.

FFG are not fixing the housing crisis which is by far the biggest issue right now. I would consider myself a centre voter but Im at the point where Id lend SF a vote.

Kinda figures that Pervert would vote for Sharia Fein considering the fat slag's brother is a tranny.
When Cullinane agreed with the UK courts that there are only two genders he was ordered off social media, given a beating in a farm shed in monaghan and ordered back to social media to grovel before the tranny lobby.
SF are a sick and perverted political gang of freaks.

Housing crisis?

There is no housing crisis. There’s a massive push for immigrants to build homes for other immigrants.

That’s what’s actually happening. The new housing estates around Dublin are almost exclusively being filled with immigrants. Some are about 90% filled by Indians alone.

213,738 or 13% of the total ballot spoilt!
That's a massive number of people that are willing to go to the Voting Stations to actually Spoil their Vote ! ! !

A damn fine achievement for the Vote Spoilers !

Can you imagine a spontaneous Political Party being able to get 13% of the Votes just like that ? !

The Rising.

Anyway yes Haven, I think her vote is closer to about 25% of the electorate, which is now being held up internationally as a landslide vote for a Communist open borders candidate in Ireland. Thats the point they wanted to get to, where she can say that the protestors are a noisy but tiny minority in Ireland.

But anyway look how this was achieved. She was supported by every political party in Ireland almost, Workers Party, People before profit, Green Party, Social Democrats, Labour Party and Sinn Fein. The only real exceptions were Fianna Fail and Fine Gael, her only opponents, and both their candidates withdrew. Ok Fine Gael had time to appoint another candidate but isn't it a remarkable picture?

In any case she has been giving her Occult hand signals all over the place yesterday so job done as far as they are concerned!

@323.
Russian Federation is a prison of 20-30 nations. I for one wouldnot be sorry to see it dismantled.
the last independent poll has Putin at 83%approval .
this is even admitted by his enemies and the new York times etc .
in the past few months the UK mainly ---planned a never before attempted act of terrorism .
they sent 2 prongs of highly mobile battalions at speed through Kursk (located inside the Russian border ) to explode the stored spent fuel stored there .
this is an act of war by the UK by anyone's measure.
this would have poisoned an area bigger than Europe and would have poisoned/killed over 90 million people .
they targeted the KURSK and ZAPPORITZA power stations .
they openly stated their aim was REGHIME CHANGE by forcing the resignation of Putin by very public blackmail --which would leave Russia fearful and leaderless and then the break up of Russia followed by the robbing of its resources and the forced starvation of its population.
i know you have not been to Russia -- had you seen for yourself and spoken to Russians -you would not say what you did.

Exactly, it takes time and effort to attend a polling station and spoil your vote, how many disillusioned others didn't bother

Been saying this for years, we have an immigration crisis , not a housing crisis

There is a lot of people out there complete dis-illusioned by the status quo !

It's getting them all organised against it, that is the difficulty !

While Catherine Connolly emerged as the clear winner in the recent Irish presidential election, the figures raise questions about the depth of her mandate. Out of an electorate of 3.6 million, just 45.8% turned out to vote — and of those, nearly one in five either spoiled their ballot or voted for a withdrawn candidate. When the numbers are broken down, Connolly secured approximately 914,000 votes, representing only about 25% of the total electorate. Although her victory is entirely legitimate under Irish electoral law, the low turnout and high proportion of spoiled ballots suggest that a significant majority of citizens either disengaged from the process or expressed dissatisfaction with the available choices.
