Is The Economy Just Now Falling Apart

A very serious strike by the Longshoremen Union has closed all ports in the East and Gulf of Mexico. Just a few days of this and the country east of the Rockies will grind to a halt. They are looking for a huge increase in pay, and they are paid plenty as it is imo.

On the west coast meanwhile I heard somewhere that the ports will one day insist on electric trucks only when collecting containers, or some such idiocy. Electric trucks do not have the payload and the container will need transferring to a proper rig just as soon as it leaves the dock yard, adding to the haulage cost and causing further delays.

I think that was the story anyway.

Oil is still very cheap, and gas is still selling fir less than 3 dollars so I will top up now actually in a few minutes

as a young man i accompanied my father during the mayfly week and i was used to row from Cornomona for miles down the lake to tire me out and the wind would blow us back to Cornamona while we dapped .
shut off the engine and let her drift for an hour or so and just have your mind altered by the lake and mountains and the sound of water and birds -- listen for the farthest away sound and meditate in heaven on earth .
save up the coins and tie up at Ashford castle and say fuck this i and my credit card will cry tomorrow but tonight i live like a king .
there is a picture in O Malleys pub in Cornamona of a long line of cars going to mass in Oughterard --DRIVING ACROSS THE LAKE in 1947 big freeze .

With the Longshore strike, added to some strange outages in mobile phones and banks in the US, plus the Middle East, plus the storm damage, its already shaping up to be an exciting month at least in the US!

Joints won't do on the ocean wave sir, the traditional seaman's pipe is best.
The tricky part is loading it in mid-air between the swells and gusts so have no choice but to keep up the practice, otherwise morale drops, and that's not allowed!🧐

the Iranian press have pointed out that Israel is 9 million and Iran is 90 million people and they have prepared for Israel trying to bomb their oil industry and if they do they have enough missiles to destroy Israel and they will sink any tanker in the strait of Hormuz as all oil benefits America and they intend to crash the worlds economy if Israel attacks them -- they are quite relaxed stating this and they mean business .

And they have said they are stopping and even worse, are going to unprinted the trillions printed. So the markets are predictably crashing. And while prices may be going up, we are seeing massive deflation.
