Is The Economy Just Now Falling Apart

Was talking to a lad from Balbriggan earlier who said all the boarded up houses in the estates up there are being renovated for Ukrainians. He said the locals are not well pleased with the reasonable cry going out that those houses were left idle for years while Irish people sat on housing lists.

Just after speaking with him I drove up the road and a big tank of a yoke pulled out in front of me. A 5L Audi Q8 TDI with a Ukrainian reg.

First time I've seen a Ukrainian reg here. Apparently they're all over the place with many having driven all the way here.

Having a Motor like that suggests that particular driver has a few quid to his/her name.

Sir. Can you calculate the time it would take me to go from Leixlip to Athy in this baby.

It could be time to sell those stocks, things are looking mighty worse.

Not the mining stocks as they usually move in the opposite direction to regular stocks. The 10 be nd rate is now heading to 3%

The whole thing seems to be coming apart now. Hang on to your britches.

On a more important note, i see famine being talked about.

. What preparations do we need to take.

Do you own lan, if so then it is very simple. Sow easy basic food like potatoes, carrots and turnips. Do you have apple trees. Do you know where there are hazel nut trees.

If in an urban area. You just need 2 months of very basic tin food and water , and a good lock on the door and a weapon of the greatest lethality you can source

You just need to outlive the whales like Doxxie who at 22 stone will have to forage for the first time in decades.

As we speak, it seems the yen and euro are both crashing but for different reasons. Japan has an absolute gigantic government debt, about 15 trillion dollars which relative to its GDP is 3 times as large as the US. So it must not let its government bond interest rate rise above 0.25% for the 10 year. To prevent it doing so it says it will buy as many government bonds as necessary to keep the price up and the interest rate down. Of course the buying is expanding the printed yen supply and they are pissing against the wind. It has gone above 130 to the dollar and is looking to go exponential, it will be great craic to watch.

Look at the graph.

Whatever they are, I believe they to be a perfect food to grow for survival.

The lady that calls round to clean and give me my massage said she say a notice in McDonalds that the portion of tomatoes in their burgers was being reduced by half. It appears tomatoes are scarce.

150 billion dollars was removed and vanished from the value of Amazon yesterday. Another dollar a gallon will croak another 150 billion next quarter if not next Monday.

Well I used the brim method (fill tank to brim, set trip clock to zero, drive til empty light comes on, brim again and divide amount of litres/gallons by miles driven to get exact mpg) on this Corolla I got and I've recorded 52mpg (43mpg US) from almost exclusively short trips in an urban area.

This is incredibly good. If I was mainly driving on B roads and Motorways it'd be up to 70!

The car is very good on fuel but a lot of this is down to driving economically also.
Done the same thing again and have gotten 56mpg this time. Still pretty much just urban driving.

Its just as well Dan is coining it in with those tours he does cos this would melt his brain compared to the 3mpg he gets from that Yank Tank of his :D

That's fucking good going Myles you are a hyper-mileing legend 👌 you must have the tyres pumped up good and hard and absolutely no brakes unless needed I hate lads braking on corners it's bullshit

To be fair to Dan that's 13 US which is nearly 16 in our money.

Still fairly shocking!

Silver taking a huge dive.
Til yesterday and today. It dropped for16 straight trading sessions.
A large part would be margin calls sent to people having been washed out with crypto losses.

Miles per gallon over last 4 tanks.

So I'm averaging precisely 57mpg (47US).

I'll take that. Depending on what way he drives and what he's hauling around I'd say Val's Caddy gets up into the mid 40's.

I am n 13mpg. But I do a lot of city and idling as well doing a tour.

The problem is the weight which demands a 5.3 litre engine.
