There are people who were fighters in ISIL in Syria and Iraq fighting with the so-called Ukrainian side in that war alongside the Azov boyos out of a desire for revenge on the Russian Federation for it's role in defeating them in the Middle East. I think a lot of Salafi Jihadist and Neo-Nazi types believe that it is more a case of them using the CIA than the CIA using them- however all three groups seem to share an at root similar nihilistic core.
