I see Arsenal were lucky to hold on to Trossard up to the transfer window closing...Saudi were pushing hard with big money ....is it the case that top tier players at the big clubs will be pryed away now as it seems these Saudi bucks have no end of money

It's very early days but that's the feeling I'm getting too. Slot's team is not as exciting as Klopp's but they played some lovely football against United, and as much as I love Klopp's style, I'm grateful for the lack of stress so far in Slot's opening games compared to the heart attack drama of Klopp.
 
Ireland are 11/2 to defeat England in Saturday is there any realistic chance of this happening , they should really go for this one
 
In fairness there does need to be some tweaks done to soccer to make it more watchable ~ ~ This, Pep Guardiola / Man City, Total Procession is very hard to watch.

Arsene Wenger wants to trail where there has to be clear daylight between the attacker and defender = = This could certainly lead to more, through balls / over the top balls.

Something must be done to make soccer more watchable i.e. More risky passing / more having a go / more taking a risk with passes ! ! !

Rice and Grealish will get shit from the crowd should they play. Possibly Carsley too.

It is potentially a reboot with this icelandic man , this guy will surely install a very different ethos than under Stephen Kenny ......the most useless manager we ever had , worse than stan Staunton
 
San marino got their first ever competitive win last night with 1-0 victory over Luxembourg last night ( Stephen Kenny got us best to Luxembourg , our worst ever result)

That is correct and it is a problem , they have to play themselves into contention , and guys get loaned a lot these days ........this Icelandic dude surely considered this but still sees the bones of a side ........they could do absolutely nothing under Stephen Kenny ......even John O'shea lifted things a bit against Hungary pre the euros
 
We have literally no quality players and haven't had in years.

Imagine if Rice & Grealish were on the end of our chances created tonight. We'd have scored 2 or 3.

Instead of pumping money into the grassroots and unearthing a couple of gems, John Delaney and the corrupt FAI have fukked it all up for a generation.

There is nothing wrong with this Irish team that the addition of Gareth Bale / Messi / Ronaldo ( in their primes ) and Declan Rice and Jack Grealish wouldn't fix ! ! ! ! !
