And in actual fact I could see english fleeing there as well so who knows, they could take the entire 6 counties.

I wonder whether she got where she did in the Shinners because she was a Southner, middle class and a woman primarily. All of those things making her less "scary" for the 26 counties Establishment.

Because it's hard to justify the levels of mass immigration before Roderick got started with his crazed carry on so falling back on the argument "You don't want to be like Loyalists" or "You are being like Loyalists" was already a key thing the Shinners and the Trots brought up in debates.

The Sinn Fein member at the centre of a controversy surrounding inappropriate text messages sent to a teenager is heavily involved in the GAA.
The republican party is refusing to say if it informed the GAA that it suspended its former member after receiving a complaint about the text messages.

Someone was saying to me yesterday that the DUPed in the six counties basically represent the Republican Party wing of the US Ruling Class and the Shinners represent the Democratic Party part of it, and that basically since some time in the 00s Ulster politics as become massively Americanized, more so than politics in England or the South.

The Sinn Féin Member who sent inappropriate texts to a 17 year old is former Lord Mayor Belfast Niall Ó Donnghaile who stepped down from Seanad Éireann late last year citing family reasons. Former colleagues in the Seanad were unable to contact him at the time. Ó Donnghaile himself made the announcement a short time
