As it happens one of my best mates is a Treanor. His Da was from Ballybay and won an Ulster final with Monaghan back in the day :)
 
Nordie could you explain who Fico is, why they shot him and what that means for electoral politics?

Fico was described as a left wing nationalist , which I think is old school hard left not woke ......the wanker that plugged him is 72 and was probably auld woke dirtbag wearing crocs and women's underwear at the house .........but fico has survived this hit :) he was one of the first to say not another bullet to Ukraine

I believe the shooter was a supporter of the 'progressive' woke style politics and Pro EU intergration type. He seems to be the European manifestation of the woke antifa shooters that have carried out atrocities in the US in recent years

He hates Niall McConnell. He sat down for an interview with him not realising who Niall was and he was grilled to within an inch of his life.

He's been swiping at McConnell ever since.
 
McConnell is I believe a genuine lad. He has a video from years ago ranting in front of some town council panel or similiar in California. I think he was on about chemtrails etc. He spent a few months in Boston but I never came across him.

The possibility remains that SF could have another terrible local election and pressure could come on Mary Lou McDonald to resign quickly ........I heard this being discussed now in several places and I think it has dawned on them that if she had to go they have absolutely nobody credible who could take over (not that she's credible of course , but has been there 7 years now)

The only 3 possibilities that I can see is

Doherty...Eoin o'broin or rose Conway Walsh as an outsider bet

Pierce Doherty is very exposed in his own country for his planter beliefs , more tarnished at home than he is nationally
