So can you explain why you think that I should be "embarrassed" to talk about abiogenesis, or you just going to dodge as per usual?
 
Firstly, you acted like it was embarrassing in the way you were posting about it and secondly it’s obvious that someone who thinks life magically started itself somehow, would be embarrassed that they can’t offer up any kind of satisfactory explanation as to how lifeless matter transformed into the first living cell.

I mean, paragraphs like the above truly astound me. Abiogenesis is "magical" but the creationist (God of the gaps) origin of life, isn't?

Evolution (a scientific fact and a scientific theory) is also "magical", yet the first humans (Adam and Eve) popping into existence, isn't? (Also note: "from the")

If creationists are good for producing one thing, it's irony

I don't believe in "magic"

Neither you nor I are a biochemist but what's so "magic" about living matter arising from non-living? How much of you do you do you think is living? Is the carbon in your body alive?

The AUL knee jerk God of the gaps retort. It’s like a comfort blanket for evolutionists.

The problem is, they’re not so much as gaps as giant abysses. Calling them gaps conveniently ignores that evolution has no mechanism to bridge these vast chasms, from lifeless chemistry to coded functional life.

The strategy for creationism is to instill doubt rather than formulate hypotheses or do experiments. It's seen as a victory for them if they can point to something where the answer is, "We don't know."

Since we have a lot of evidence for evolution but not abiogenesis, the latter is the preferred gish-gallop target.

An intelligent designer would not create something which has 99.99999% useless, empty space. It's simply poor design not becoming of the most genius designer of all. The creator wanted to create life, so it created this realm we call earth for us to live in. No need for a gazillion other planets, black holes, big bang, bendy spacetime and other violations of the creator's own laws of physics it established on earth. That's redundant overkill in design terms. All that superfluous junk is unnecessary when all required is the earth with the sun, stars and planets above. That is the universe.
