I say this with all sincerity, and with all biases and prejudices put aside: By far the most hateful people I've come across on these useless boards are the post-Christian, "woke" set. Without a shadow of a doubt. Ugly, shallow, soulless, empty shells of people, consumed by hatred and resentment.

Funny how these same people are cast as the "good" side. Says it all for our Orwellian, up-is-down society.
Hate is the millennial snowflake's new religion.

Ricky Gervais in Dublin: Intolerant, nasty, grossly offensive – and 11,000 people laughed along

Comedian made jokes about homeless people, illegal immigrants and inefficient children working in Third World slave labour sweatshops.

Under the guise of free speech, Gervais last night made reactionary and often sub-juvenile jokes about: African babies with Aids, child brides in Pakistan, limbless disabled boys being misogynist racists, dwarves losing work at Christmas because of woke culture, Chinese children eating dogs, children giving sexual services to the local paedophile in return for a puppy, his mother performing fellatio in hell eternally, his grandmother loving penises, Hitler’s one testicle… and even more tasteless (if such a thing was possible) horrible jokes about homeless people, illegal immigrants and inefficient children working in Third World slave labour sweatshops whose mothers are sexually abused “by their owners”.

https://www.newstalk.com/news/ciara...tions-hate-speech-laws-dangerous-road-1487700

Ciara Kelly has said she has “serious and sincere reservations” about Ireland’s proposed new hate speech laws, warning that they are “a dangerous road to go down”.

She was speaking after Fianna Fáil TD Willie O’Dea called the Justice Minister to ‘focus on tackling crime and stop playing to the woke gallery’.

Writing in the Sunday Independent yesterday, the Limerick TD said people in his constituency are more concerned about the “growing problem of street crime and wanton anti-social behaviour” than some of the other issues the Department of Justice is focusing on.

Man charged with incitement to hatred with online posts about refugees to face trial

A DUBLIN MAN charged with incitement to hatred with online posts about refugees is to face a Circuit Court trial.

An investigation by the Garda Special Detective Unit (SDU) led to him being charged in February with an offence under section two of the Prohibition of the Incitement to Hatred Act.

It is alleged that on 30 January, at a place unknown within the State, he distributed, showed, or played a recording of visual images or sounds to stir up hatred.

SDU Detective Sergeant Eamon Hoey told the court today that the Director of Public Prosecutions directed that Carey, who remains on bail with restrictions on social media use, is to face trial on indictment.

This means the case will go forward to the Circuit Court, which has wider sentencing powers.

Judge O’Leary ordered Carey, who still hasn’t entered a plea, to appear again on 14 November to be served with a book of evidence and returned for trial.

At an earlier procedural hearing, the SDU officer alleged the lorry driver “posted a video on social media where he made allegations against migrants, that why they were here to rape women and children”.

The accused immediately interjected to deny the allegation and claim he was referring to “undocumented migrants”, adding that refugees were welcome.

So saying nasty things online already carries tough laws, why do we need new hate speech laws?

Also, why has he not pleaded his case based on freedom of expression?

Perhaps from a nightmare perspective there'll now be 24/7 surveillance & evesdropping upon the devices & locations of flagged individuals/communities.
The new laws enable their intrusive actions & demands upon your intimate, private life.
The future's going to be fantastic!🤕

There, he's obviously got his evidence and is innocent of the charges. He may well be found not guilty.
