Yes, its certainly they case that the hypothetical force we call gravity is responsible for barometric pressure. This has yet to be conclusively proven however.
But this has
nothing to do with the problem of
containment and
protection of the atmosphere itself.
Please explain how the necessary '
seal' from the negative pressure of a vacuum protects our atmosphere from being sucked into outer space.
We are especially keen to know what the mechanics are, at the very edges of our atmosphere, that directly contacts the void of space. What is happening in this liminal space?
