The ticks in Leinster House will have their pounds of flesh from the remaining working saps. VAT back up to 13.5 % and the excise on diesel and fuel will snap back too. 2 eurons for a measly litre is promised by Christmas. They truly hate us.

This 5 dollars plus this week is the nail. It looks like this year Europe will not be as lucky as last winter, and the stage is set.

This is worrying, but you can see it coming with all the attacks against farmers of late, food prices set to increase over the next 12 months. Even at home here in Ireland, the recent VAT and fuel increases will add misery to many with increases in production and transportation costs.

Farmer costs are up 35-40% and that will be passed on to customers in the coming months (1:02).

I'm not sure that they will. Farmers are at the mercy of co-ops and and world markets, they have very little say in what they get for their produce and are expected to absorb the extra costs.

We are likely to see the Federal Debt pass 33 Trillion this coming week. It has added 1.6 trillion since the limit was laid aside about 3 months ago as they refilled various accounts that were drawn down. I expect gas to go above $4 now here as well . Combine all this with signs of a new development which is we are now seeing reported here the same situation with migrants as in NYC, this is just breaking here in Massachusetts. Maybe NYC being full, they were given a bus ticket to Beantown. But is is kicking off here at every level.

West Texas Crude has gone above $90 a barrel. That will squeeze people when it filters to the pump price.
