Property tax going up in Dublin brought to you by fg/ff/greens/Labour who have hitched their wagons together on Dublin city council

Won't be long till it's as bad here as it is in the UK, I think the average over there is about 2k per household.

Ireland is in a death spiral, time to get out I feel.

Where could you go that's not as fucked at here ? Caribbean maybe
Been thinking for a long time now to get out and go to somewhere like Spain, Portugal even Italy.

Sell up, and purchase a nice property in a remote area, at least id have the sun on my back instead of paying overpriced energy costs.

There can be double standards on foreigners in Spain, in terms how they are treated by Local municipalities. Loo into it.

I know some folk who went to Portugal tho.

Interesting read on the cashless society transition in Sweden.

Grand ideas from governments once again being scuppered by that damned stuff called reality.

The bigger and more revolutionary these ideas are, the greater and more damaging their inevitable failure,

Things are not looking too bright in that golden utopia otherwise known as Silicon Valley -

Meta has let go of at least 21,000 workers, while Google has handed pink slips to hundreds of employees across San Francisco, Sunnyvale and Mountain View.

Let us not forget that thousands are employed in Ireland by big tech as well, what if the unthinkable happens and it spreads across the pond?

Inevitable with the growing use of AI I think.

On the AI front I'm getting the vibes that it's not all that its cracked up to be. Like everything else once you start digging below the surface it gets to be a different story. It was put to me like this - You and I know what a cup and saucer are, and we know how to pour tea, but AI hasn't a clue, they are just words that may be reassembled using references to them it has found elsewhere. The words mean nothing, there is no understanding, these are not conscious machines capable of making a decision.

The AI lustre will fade soon enough.

More on the link below (may need to translate).

It appears that 40 banks have collapsed and Jiangxi was the largest of them. I should think the Chinese yuan printing presses are being run into the ground as we speak.

With the recent elections, both France and Britain can join Germany as being write offs. Invesrtors have got to be eying the exits and the rush could happen at any minute

Transport infrastructure is the place to invest it. Send me the money and I’ll forward the deeds to a major river crossing in New York.

Looks like the technology buble could be bursting with facebook down 6%. Now panic or anything, that would toward the end of the second down day at these levels. Rough day tomorrow would set up a lot of people fleeing friday

The magic of AI is fading fast, billions were poured into it and there is now no foreseeable payback. it won't help the tech sector.
